WHATS IN MY MAKEUP BAG

Friday, 15 September 2017

I rarely change what i keep in my makeup bag except if i am trying out a new mascara or foundation but lately i have been these products so much that i don't feel the need to change up what i am using.

In one of my earlier posts when i first started my blog i reviewed this in my dissapointing products blog post and i said it was very runny and don't think it kept my oil at bay but i gave it another chance and it has thickened up since then and i feel like it really helps my foundation looking its best and i do get a little glowy throughout the day but i feel like it keeps most of the oil from breaking through.

I have oily eyelids and find that even if i set that eye primer my eyeshadow will still crease but the smashbox shadow primer doesn't do that to me. I can trust that the shadow primer will keep my eyeshadow in place all day and the oil's wont break through.

I haven't used any other setting powder since finding the laura mercier loose setting powder as i love to set my shadow primer with it or my concealer and my makeup won't budge all day.

Under eye concealer is something i don't use that often but i keep it in my makeup bag for those days when i feel like my under eyes could use some brightening up and it does the job amazingly.

I raved about this foundation when i reviewed this product and it has even replaced what was my holy grail Smashbox photo finish foundation. I thought the revlon foundation worked better at keeping my skin matte throughout the day and after a long day my foundation looked just as good as it did when i first applied it.

The modern renaissance palette has become my holy rail eyeshadow palette and i just cant seem to stop using it. All the shades are highly pigmented but so bendable and even though i thought i would not use all the shades in the palette i find myself reaching for them and wanting to use them up.

The paradise mascara is a recent favorite of mine as every time i wear it i experience no flaking or clumping and am left with lovely fluttery eyelashes.

I don't think i have spoken about the brow wiz on my blog before as i am not very good at remembering to fill them in as i have pretty full brows anyway, But i do have a few sparse areas and find the tip of the pencil very fine to recreate brow hairs and found the taupe shade to be a pretty good match for me.

I am in love with the Kevyn Aucion Highlighter in candlelight as it is more on the subtle side and won't accentuate fine lines, skin texture or large pores and gives you a beautiful glow to the skin.

I love blushes that have more of a sheen to them especially if i am wearing a matte foundation as it adds a little glow to my skin and i am slowly collecting all of the shades from the max factor creme puff range.

It took me so long to find a shade that was my lips but better and found that the shade modesty was a pretty good match for me. It is a warm mauve shade and is a cremesheen finish which is more comfortable to wear but will come off when eating or drinking.
