5 THINGS I'VE LEARNT FROM BLOGGING

Last month Vixella Beauty turned one year old and it has been been such a quick year as i still feel there is still so much to learn from blogging. So, I thought in today's post i would share with you 5 things i have learnt from blogging.

Blogging is a lot of work

Other bloggers are the only people who will understand how much effort and time it takes to run a blog. From working on blog posts to editing your photos to being active on social media, it all adds up.

Taking a break now and again is okay

I took a 3 month break from blogging earlier this year as i wasnt feeling very inspired with my posts and i felt i let myself get into a blogging slump and although i missed blogging i felt like the break did me good, just remember to jump back on the wagon again when you feel inspired.

Don't compare yourself to others

Something are all guilty of doing (especially me) and nothing good comes from comparing yourself to others does it? Just be yourself and enjoy what your doing.

The Blogging community is amazing

I have really loved getting to know other bloggers and i have even made a few friends on my journey. And being part of a supportive community can really help whether you are struggling with html or what to blog about, someone is always willing to help.

Equipment isnt important

It doesn't matter whether you take blog photos on your phone or a DLSR, when i first started all i used was my iPhone for taking pictures and i know some bloggers still use their phone for photos and that is ok. It all depends on what you feel comfortable using and what kind of photo style you are going for.

What have you learned from your blogging experience so far?

  1. I have had so many people complain about how I don't have time because I am working on the blog. "Surely it doesn't take too long to work on it!?" Yes, it does!
